Programme to offer homage to Dr Abdul Kalam and to seed his vision towards Developed India 2020
The greatest son of India and the most beloved leader Dr APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on 27th July 2015 at Shillong when he was delivering a lecture to the students.  The entire India wept silently and paid rich tributes to him, cutting across religion and language.  His mortal remains was burried at his native place Rameswaram on 30th July 2015 with State Honours.  President of India and the Prime Minister offered their homage to him, personally.

To pay homage to this great son of India and to seed his vision for developed India 2020, 'Admirers of Dr Abdul Kalam' organised a programme at Dr MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science, Chennai on 1st August 2015 at 3.30 PM.  Many eminent perons of the city, including few political leaders and bureaucrats participated and offered their tributes to this leader.

Towards the end, his favourite 10 point oath was read out to the audience.  It was decided that all the admirers of Dr Abdul kalam would work together to realise his dreams of 'Developed India 2020'.
