PreSense100+, a Digest of select articles upto 110th edition of ezine PreSense launched

Readers may be aware that a digest of select articles upto 100th edition titled PreSense100 was launched in June 2015.  The second edition of the Digest including more articles up to 110th edition was launched on 11th June 2016 during Sansad Ratna 2016 Award function. 

The book titled 'PreSense100+' was launched by Dr Bhaskar Ramamurthy, Director of IIT Madras. The first copy was received by  Dr C Rangarajan (Former Governor of Reserve Bank of India and Governor of Andhra Pradesh).  

The eMagazine (ezine) PreSense is published by Prime Point Foundation.

The soft copy may be downloaded from the following link.  Dr P Ganesan (Chairman, Sony Fireworks P Ltd and AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi) has sponsored the printing of this second edition.

Internet and social media for education purposes - A Presentation

National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai (Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India) has organised a four week programme to the engineering faculty members and civil service officials of Bangladesh Government. 

Prime Point Srinivasan addressed the participants on how to leverage internet and social media for education purposes on 2nd June 2016.  He shared as to how Wikipedia, Blogs and Podcasts can be of great use for education purposes. He also suggested them to start their own blogs and share their thoughts.  

NITTTR had provided laptop and internet connectivity to all the participants.  Dr. Brazendranath Sarkar, one of the participants created a blog on the spot for himself.  Some of them expressed their eagerness to create podcasts.  

The programmed is organised with the help of External Affairs Ministry.   The participants expressed their happiness about the stay at Chennai and the friendly attitude of people here.  

Dr Malliga is coordinating this programme.  NITTTR is a specialised Institution under HRD Ministry to train the Technical Teachers across the nation.  They also train the professionals from foreign countries.
