K. Srinivasan (75), popularly known as Prime Point
Srinivasan, is a distinguished communication professional, digital
journalist, and social entrepreneur. With over 25 years of
experience in the banking and communication sectors, he has made
significant contributions to public relations (PR), image management,
communication education, and journalistic excellence.
Early Career and Banking Experience:
Hailing from Therizhandur,
a village in Tamil Nadu, Prime Point Srinivasan was always driven by a desire
to excel. After completing his education, he joined Indian Bank in 1973
as a clerk. His career in the banking industry was marked by rapid growth,
where he rose through the ranks with sheer dedication and hard work. After two years
of exemplary service, he joined Corporation Bank as a Probationary Officer,
where he worked in various managerial roles.
In 1988, Srinivasan established the Corporate
Communications Department for Corporation Bank in Delhi, a
pioneering initiative in public sector banking. This role not only involved
managing internal and external communication but also liaising with the Government
of India and the Indian Parliament on communication and public
relations matters.
Founding Prime Point Foundation (1999):
In 1999, Srinivasan took voluntary retirement from
banking to establish the Prime Point Foundation, a non-profit organisation
dedicated to promoting communication awareness, digital journalism,
and leadership skills. Since its inception, the Foundation has grown
into one of the leading institutions in India for communication training,
image auditing, and PR services.
The Foundation’s flagship initiative, PreSense eMagazine,
was launched on the suggestion of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to promote positive
journalism. This digital-only publication, which has been continuously
published since 2006, focuses on building a positive image of individuals, organisations,
and national issues. Under Srinivasan’s leadership, PreSense has become
a significant platform for thought leadership and has gained widespread
recognition in the digital media and communication industry.

eMagazine: A platform for positive journalism, it focuses on
inspirational stories and constructive discussions. It has been widely
acclaimed for its unique editorial style, devoid of advertisements, and
driven solely by volunteer contributions.
- Sansad
Ratna Awards: Founded in 2010, on the suggestion of Dr Abdul
Kalam, these awards honour the best-performing
MPs in India. Dr Abdul Kalam himself launched the first award event in
2010. The awards are based on several criteria, such as participation in
debates, raising questions, and attendance in Parliament. The Sansad
Ratna Awards are presented annually and have grown into a prestigious
event recognising parliamentarians for their exceptional
contribution to public service. IIT Madras partnered with the
Foundation for the first nine editions, with subsequent editions hosted in
New Delhi.
- Digital
Journalists Association of India (DiJAI): This organisation focuses on
digital journalism and equips journalists with the skills needed to
navigate the evolving digital media landscape. DiJAI conducts regular
workshops and training programs to raise awareness about the importance of

Gen Political Leaders (NGPL): Launched to develop leadership skills
